To read, to share and to participate

In an effort to organize and to share the information I come across, I have tried many different technologies: from emails, to Google Reader, Friendfeed… Each have its advantages: for instance emails are simple and do not require the recipient to register to yet another service.

My favorite for a while was Google Reader: it was simple enough to share few news with some friends (everybody having a Google account) and reduced the number of emails I sent. However with time , it shows its limitations: only one sharing stream, tied to my Google address book (which is synced to my Mac and to my iPhone)… It is a good way to read a large number of RSS feeds, but it was not designed to share and to comment. It can do it, but it is just cumbersome and limited.

I tried Friendfeed: nice to post, and overall good-looking. But as discussed on PayingAttention, FriendFeed is over – Time for a Blog Revolution; I’m with you Chris. Read also this older post Rahul Gaitonde’s blog: Why Twitter/Friendfeed/Google Reader trump the Blog… or not.

So here is my attempt to a blog. There will be some (poor) english, some french. Let’s see how I do.
